You might not be ready for someone to pick up a Bop It, a famous toy from their childhood, and use it to defeat each and every boss in Elden Ring. This is something you might not expect to happen.
This is something that streamer Swoop Douglas has been successful in achieving. This Twitch streamer wanted to play with the Bop It and deftly mash their way through every boss, from Malenia to the Godskin Duo, and Radagon to the Elden Beast. It appears that the Bop It is not being left for dead back in everyone's childhood memories.
In an interview with PC Gamer (opens in a new tab), Douglas reveals that prior to playing the Bop It with FromSoftware game, he had never even attempted to defeat every boss in Elden Ring. This was before he tried out the game. Yes, this streamer took on some bosses with a children's toy for the very first time.
We can see that Swoop Douglas uses the main button in the middle of the Bop It to dodge, which is probably a pretty sensible decision (if anything about this whole thing is sensible). This can be seen in the video that is located above this one. After that, he attacks by pressing the button on the left side of the controller and moves by toggling the strange thing on the right side of the controller.
Once you put all of the movements down on paper, the controller setup is fairly simple; however, it is probably an absolute nightmare to use. I think I'll just stick to using a regular console controller and suffering defeat at the hands of Malenia dozens of times, thanks.
I'm curious as to whether or not this player will use the Bop It controller to try out the Elden Ring downloadable content, or whether they've had their fill of crazy antics for the time being.
